Is using an indoor exercise bike an effective fat burning exercise?
Is it as effective as going for a jog? Would I need to do other fat burning exercises and not just use this?

- i know that excersise bikes burn off calories so that wld help get rid of fat. its better go jogging coz u get more fresh air and get to move your whole body more, rather than just bein stuck on a bike. hope this helps Rookii Darliin' ♥
- If you exercise you will burn fat. If you use a bike indoors or outside it will burn fat. Especially if you get your heart rate up. No, you don't need to do other fat burning exercises, the bike is just fine and not as much stress on your knees.
- If you live in a big city then 'fresh air' is an illusion - I plan on investing in a respirator mask so I can bike around town without chewing diesel fumes. Cycling of any kind is excellent exercise and less stressful on the joints than the impact of jogging. ANY ACTIVITY IN WHICH YOU BURN CALORIES WILL HELP YOU BURN FAT. Just make sure you are actually working: at least 20 minutes solid or more a day.
